New Course

Support Working allows us to use the most positive elements of our personalities, experiences and talents for the benefit of others. We use these to communicate and form positive relationships with the people who we support. At the same time, the service that is offered has to be consistent, which is the purpose of having clear guidelines and boundaries to work within. This course takes us through relevant legislation, codes of conduct and ways of gaining clarity about our role.

A Specialist and Professional Role

At Vector Training, we believe that Support Working is a distinct and skilled profession which - like any other profession - has professional standards. This course takes us through the opportunities and boundaries of our role, illustrated throughout by practical examples. Like all of Vector Training's courses, passing a quiz will enable the learner to download a certificate suitable for inductees and staff undertaking refresher training. The course is also mapped to the relevant outcomes of QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care, so the learner can return to the course at a later stage to help them through their Apprenticeship programme.
